Low Carbon Development Roundtable

The Global Cities Institute (GCI) hosted a delegation from the Shanghai Development Reform Commission China for a roundtable on Ontario’s approach to low carbon development on November 21st, 2014.

GCI staff, Beth Lorimer and Erin Hall, presented on the work of the Institute, World Council on City Data (WCCD), and ISO 37120. Chris Kennedy, GCI Senior Fellow and Professor of Civil Engineering at the University of Toronto, and Lorraine Sugar, PhD Candidate in Civil Engineering at the University of Toronto, presented on urban metabolism, Canadian approaches to Low Carbon Cities, and international perspectives on Low Carbon Cities.
