Asian Business & Management Training Program with Beijing Municipal Commission for Urban Planning

The Global Cities Institute (GCI) and the World Council on City Data (WCCD) hosted a delegation of 23 officials and engineers from the Beijing Municipal Commission for Urban Planning.  The delegation was participating in a 3-week training program delivered by the Asian Business and Management Program at York University.  The customized training program was designed around the objective of learning about GIS and Urban Planning. 

WCCD Vice President, José-Luis Hernandez, presented on the work of the GCI, ISO 37120, and the WCCD.  Kun Yi, a work study student with the Global Cities Institute provided the delegation with a demo of the WCCD web portal.  Xin Qiu, Principal at Novus Environmental Inc. and Adjunct Professor at York University presented on Novus’ projects and environmental consulting services for air quality, water, meteorology and climate change.
